Murder at Midnight offered tales of "the witching hour, when night is darkest, our fears the strongest, our strength at its lowest ebb...Midnight! . . . when graves gape open and death strikes!"
The creepy voice of the opening signature (MURRR~DERRR-A-A-AT MIIDNIIGHT!) belonged to Raymond Morgan, a Long Island minister who gave up the cloth for the excitement of radio.
