If you're old enough to remember the "Golden Age of Radio," when the glowing dial of that formidable Philco or Atwater Kent console brought comedy, drama, suspense, music, and news into millions of American homes, then you know just how wonderful radio was. If you don't remember those days, but have spent hours listening to rebroadcasts from the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s, then you understand just how engrossing radio entertainment can be. If you've never heard any of the vast variety of programs that once dominated the airwaves...well, you're in for a real treat!
Radio Archives is dedicated solely to the preservation of our priceless radio heritage. We devote countless hours and thousands upon thousands of dollars to seek out top quality recordings of the finest, most historic, and most entertaining programs from radio's past, using state-of-the-art CEDAR processing and the latest digital restoration technology to eliminate the pops, scratches, and hiss usually associated with old time radio shows.
Each month, Radio Archives adds new programs and new CD collections to our website, with each new addition described in our on-line newsletter. If you'd like to add your name to our mailing list, we'll be happy to notify you whenever a new newsletter is available -- and, from time to time, you'll also receive word of some special offers, exclusively for you.
This is a highly recommended dealer. The Audio CDs they provide are reasonably priced and of the highest quality. Each month they release materials to the community that have previously been available.
Jerry Haendiges website. Lots of interesting 'stuff' here and a recommended dealer. Jerry is sometimes slow to fill orders, but his CDs are of an extremely high quality.
Ted Davenport's old site. Ted is a very good friend, and member of the OTRR organization and has provided us with a great many new series or episodes. While Ted is no longer active as a dealer, his material is available from Terry Salomonson. Much of Ted's materials came from the University of Utahs collection, which contained a lot of rare stuff.
Welcome to The Golden Days Of Radio. You may have heard these radio broadcasts and thought of them as something remembered with love and lost forever. If you're younger, you may have heard your parents or grandparents mention them. They are not lost and gone forever. We have been collecting these programs for over a quarter of a century and for the past five years been digitally processing these broadcasts to complete restoration. Saving this piece of radio broadcast history for our enjoyment and the enjoyment of future generations for many years to come.
The Redmond Nostalgia Company, known by most as simply “Nostalgia”, was formed in the late 1960's in an effort to preserve the original recordings from The Golden Age Of Radio. From 1969 to 1980 we did business under the name Radio Reruns becoming The Redmond Nostalgia Company in 1981. We own one of the largest privately held collections of radio programs including thousands of original radio transcription discs. Our emphasis has always been on sound quality and we have a long reputation of selling the finest product in the industry. Over the years we have issued radio programs on various formats including LP, 8-track tape, open reel, cassette and now CD. Most material from our old open reel and cassette catalogs is still available. Please contact us for current pricing and availability.
Good quality, fair prices are the hallmark of this company. OTRR is proud to support them.
